Leadership Roles
There are many roles available to those wanting to serve at VBS. The following is a list of available roles and descriptions. Most roles will need to attending informational meetings and training sessions.

- Crew Leaders: A crew leader guides crew members through daily activities, helps facilitate discussions, and joins in on the VBS fun. You are responsible for 3-5 kids on a smaller scale, and will also help to supervise a larger group of between 9 – 15 kids.
- Preschool Crew Leader and Assistant: responsible for guiding the pre-school kids through activities and games..
- The MC- The person helps lead the main session groups.
- Snack Crew- Help prepare and hand out snacks for youth at the conclusion of VBS each night.
- Registration Staff- Help register youth when they show up to VBS, sort them into groups, and keep track of how many youth are at the program.
- Floaters - Wander around VBS stations to make sure Crew and Station Leaders have everything they need. Also able to take children to the bathroom so as to not disrupt group activities. Also will help indicate to groups that they need to rotate stations when time is up.
- Music and Action Songs co-leader- Help sing songs, and teach action moves and dances to the songs for the youth to do during the main sessions.
- Decorations - Helps to decorate the church and change it into a new place for VBS. Turn the sanctuary, fellowship hall and basement into deep open scene,
- Marketing & Advertising - Helps hang up fliers and to contact places and publications to get the word out about VBS. (everyone can help with this)
- Mail Person - Sends out snail mail communications and invitations to those on the Honeyville Mailing List
- Nurse- Available if a child gets hurt and able to provide basic first aid care, such as ice packs and band-aids.
- Traffic Control- Monitor the parking lot, to ensure safety of youth during the registration and going home times of VBS. Part of this is directing cars to safely park.
